The Midwest Sculptors Guild is a loose organization of sculptors and artisans who work in a variety of different media, including stone, clay, bronze, glass and other materials.
By concentrating on an atmosphere of sharing and learning, we progress to a constantly rising level of expertise based on honesty and good will towards each other.
The Guild meets every six to eight weeks and we discuss how to promote our art. We share information about sculpture materials and where to obtain them. Guild members can join others in buying materials in order to benefit from the power of bulk purchases.
The Studio at Dragon's Haven is the "Un-official" northern branch home, while the Southern Branch often meets at the River Perk Cafe in Wichita.
The only requirement for membership is PARTICIPATION.
Attendance to three meetings within the year is the only pre-requisite to be able to show artwork at Guild Sponsored Events.
There are NO membership fees or dues. Participating members split the costs involved in shows and sculpture demonstrations, entrance fees, supplies and in certain cases the cost of beverages and food for event celebrations.
