The finished painting took a couple of weeks to complete:

Jay's New Work Ivory GreenmanJay obtained legal Ivory from a Tusk of a working elephant in Indonesia. He has been working a few pieces to showcase the ability of Ivory to accept detail. This greenman is inspired by a carving from an Irish bridge keystone. This miniature relief is 2" high by 1-1/4" wide.

Ivory MermaidThis pendant was made as a commission for a good friend. It is made out of the ivory from an Indonesia working elephant. It is 1 1/4" long by 3/8" wide. The silver hanger (slide) was installed by a local jeweler.

Blue ToadThis sculpture is made out of marble from Australia. It is mostly crystalline white with streaks of bright blue inclusions.

Chlorite Leaf HeadJay is now working on a foliate head reminiscent of the traditional greenmen found in architectural carvings. The carving is made out of is chlorite.
